All honey labeled as Mānuka must be lab tested to meet New Zealand’s rigorous standards before it can be lawfully exported. Certified lab results ensure that The Happy Bee Co-op’s Honey contains at least 105 mg/kg of methylglyoxal (MGO), the component responsible for bioactivity.

Love everything about the Happy Bee Co op down to the apocathary-esque packaging that invokes comfort and healing in a jar. I initially used this to soothe a sore throat with immediate relief. Unlike the typical slightly medicinal manuka taste, happy bee coats your taste buds with a light toasty molassesy and leaves a soft candied after taste. This led me to recipe experimentation , dropping a few dollops onto my morning avocado toast. What a game changer! The texture of the granules and on the avocado was a morning, marriage of delicate textured dance of sweet and creamy on your palate. Breakfast at its best. I do however still recommend this natural elixir for soothing sore throats and keeping the over the counter cold remedies at bay.
